Aysun van Sartum  (Sunny)

Born 15th June 2008  pedigree nr  SPC-08-08-138
Queen: Chotu's Special Makalu
Sire: Gr. Int. Ch. Kibutata's Silver Bear af Fredenslund

Sunny as we call her was one of the biggest kittens in the litter.
She was quite easily mistaken for a male even by some very experienced breeders that came over to help us asses our first litter of silvers.
Her robust muscular apprearance is just what I like best about her; I think she's got great type.

We had her tested for PRA because her dad is a carrier and she turned clear. At that point I was certain she would be a major step in our silver program.
She is a blacksilver herself that carries dilute, so bluesilver is an option for her offspring.
So black and blue are the options we've got at the moment, in future we hope to add sorrel and more.

Silver can be quite a challenge to breed. It's hard to forecast what combination will lead to good quality kittens. I was hoping Pebbles' paleness would avoid to much trouble causing tannish or rufism, wich is a yellow/brownish glow in the fur wich should be absolutely sparkling white.

On the pictures here on the side you can see how Sunny's colour has developed. In the top pictures she is 8 weeks old; on the bottom almost 2 years. She won't get any more silver then this but we are already over the moon with her looks, she exceeds our
expectation for a first generation silver big time.

She does very well at shows, she already has her first CAC (Championpoint)
and we hope she will get three and be awarded the title champion.
